Popup: Rate the leader

Sky News were so excited about the possibilities of using the MindTracker technology during the 2009 British political party conference season that they commissioned us to provide a series of tests dubbed Rate the Leader. Just after the leader's speeches concluded a section of the speech containing the most controversial passages was edited and the test begun within 30 mins.

Sky News viewers were then able to use MindTracker's embedded widget to take the survey within the Sky News website itself. Over 3000 people took part in the surveys and the project was a major event over the two days.

Michael Johnson, director of MindTracker explained to the SkyNews.com show's presenter, Martin Standford, how the technology worked and how the results looked at 7pm the same day. We then presented the results the next day on the site.

We then performed the same test a week later for the Conservative party conference with preliminary results on the same afternoon and full results the next day. Sky News were very pleased with the performance of the MindTracker system and we look forward to the election period.
